Description

A delicious meal that combines succulent shrimp and salmon in a creamy garlic sauce, served with creamy mashed potatoes and crisp green beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain, then mash with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  2. In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the salmon with Cajun seasoning and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add shrimp and season with the remaining Cajun seasoning. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the salmon.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Return the shrimp and salmon to the skillet with the garlic cream sauce. Stir gently to coat the seafood in the sauce.
  7. Plate the mashed potatoes and green beans, then top with the shrimp and salmon in garlic cream sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the shrimp and salmon for tenderness. You can adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to taste.
