Description
A creamy and flavorful pasta dish featuring chicken, crispy bacon, and a delicious ranch sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 strips bacon
- Salt/Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 cups half and half
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix
Instructions
- In a large skillet over low heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Set aside, reserve the drippings, and chop bacon once cooled.
- Slice the chicken breasts into thinner pieces. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Sear in reserved bacon drippings over medium-high heat until cooked through. Cube chicken after resting.
- Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic. Add flour, gradually stir in half and half. Mix in ranch seasoning and cheese until smooth.
- Add drained pasta to the sauce, then mix in chicken. Garnish with crispy bacon and serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate chicken in ranch dressing before cooking. Rotini holds the sauce well, but feel free to use any pasta.
