Description

A delightful dessert that combines the comforting essence of cinnamon rolls with the sweet and tart flavor of apples.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for mixture with cinnamon)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, ensuring they are well incorporated. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Prepare the cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with the tablespoon of flour and ground cinnamon.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  9. Swirl the batter with a knife or toothpick to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
