Description

A delightful pasta dish that features shrimp in a creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp are pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and bell peppers; sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet, tossing to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add some minced onions when sautéing the garlic and bell peppers. For a spicy kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or using a spicier Cajun seasoning.
