Description

A rich and comforting pasta dish made with creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue to whisk until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add the reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Best served immediately. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. When reheating, add a splash of milk or reserved pasta water to restore the creamy texture.
