Description
Delicious chocolate chip cookies with a surprise Oreo center, perfect for Halloween festivities!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 12 Oreo cookies (regular or Halloween-themed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Take a small amount of cookie dough and flatten it in your palm. Place an Oreo cookie in the center and wrap the dough around it, fully enclosing the cookie.
- Place the stuffed cookie dough ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Repeat this process until all dough is used, leaving space between each cookie on the sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers will look soft but will firm up as they cool.
