A quick and nutritious dish combining pasta and fresh broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of water or olive oil if needed.
