Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for glazing
- Chocolate syrup or icing for decoration
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Using a spoon or donut cutter, drop the batter into the hot oil in donut shapes. Fry until golden brown on each side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Let cool slightly and then dip in powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate syrup or icing for decoration.
- Serve and enjoy!
