These fun and festive cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with chocolate chips and crushed Halloween Oreo cookies, perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 1 cup crushed Halloween Oreo cookies (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed Halloween Oreo cookies until evenly distributed.
- Scoop tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press a few extra Oreo pieces on top for decoration.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden around the edges.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For a festive touch, consider adding orange or purple sprinkles to the dough.
