Description

Delicious and spooky Skull Potato Bites are perfect for gatherings, especially around Halloween. These fun bites combine creamy potatoes with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium starchy potatoes (e.g., Russets)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Cheese, as desired
  • Bacon bits
  • Sour cream
  • Chopped chives


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes to remove any dirt. Pat them dry.
  3. Prick each potato several times with a fork.
  4. Bake the potatoes in the oven for about 45-60 minutes, until soft.
  5. Remove the potatoes and let them cool slightly.
  6. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise and scoop the insides out.
  7. Mix the scooped-out potato with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  8. Spoon the mixture back into the skins.
  9. Carve eyes and a mouth if desired.
  10. Top with cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, and chives.
  11. Place filled potatoes back in the oven for 10-15 minutes until heated through and cheese melts.
