Description

Delicious and hearty Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells, perfect for families and gatherings, packed with cheesy goodness and nutritious spinach.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, squeezed dry and chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, cooked spinach, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese and spinach mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and top with the remaining marinara sauce and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with fresh herbs like basil or parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
