Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it becomes brown and nutty in aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and shape them into ghost forms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
