Description

A rich, decadent brownie that’s perfect for festive gatherings, blending chocolate flavors with a fudgy texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup festive chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
  • Sea salt for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from the heat and stir in the granulated and brown sugars until fully integrated.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. If desired, fold in the festive chocolate chips or nuts at this stage for added texture and flavor.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
