Description
A rich, decadent brownie that’s perfect for festive gatherings, blending chocolate flavors with a fudgy texture.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup festive chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
- Sea salt for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from the heat and stir in the granulated and brown sugars until fully integrated.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- If desired, fold in the festive chocolate chips or nuts at this stage for added texture and flavor.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Once baked, allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Optionally, sprinkle sea salt on top before serving.
