Description

A delicious and healthy dessert featuring sweet apples with a crunchy crumble topping that is easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 4-5 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil or vegan butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and transfer this mixture to a baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, almond flour (or whole wheat flour), coconut oil (or vegan butter), maple syrup, and salt until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm, optionally accompanied by vegan ice cream or custard.
