A delicious and healthy dessert featuring sweet apples with a crunchy crumble topping that is easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- 4-5 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup almond flour or whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup coconut oil or vegan butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and transfer this mixture to a baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, almond flour (or whole wheat flour), coconut oil (or vegan butter), maple syrup, and salt until the mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm, optionally accompanied by vegan ice cream or custard.
